MMTA is happy to announce the 6th annual Ensemble Extravaganza. We will be presenting duet/ensemble recitals, as many as necessary to let everyone who wants to participate be involved. Each teacher may enter as many students as he/she desires. Preferably, students should perform with other students of comparable ability. However, if one is not available, the teacher may perform the second part.
There are two pianos available, so pieces may be performed by 2 or 4 students, either 1 piano, 4 hands, or 2 piano, 4 or 8 hands. We will charge a flat fee of $20.00 for each teacher, no matter how many students enter. The fee may be covered by the teacher, or passed on to the students. If a large number of students enter, there may be multiple recitals; it may not be possible to have all of a studio’s performers on the same recital, so it’s best to set aside the whole day.
Students of MMTA members who play other instruments, or sing, may submit ensemble works for that instrument as well as piano, or a combination of instruments.
